Senior Transaction Diligence Associate

About the role

EY Parthenon is hiring a Senior Associate for its transaction diligence team in Camana Bay. The team advises private equity and corporate clients on the financial risks of acquisitions and divestments, working with some of the world's largest organizations. The role covers both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze historical financial data and identify key trends behind a business's performance
• Write reports setting out findings and recommendations on the key financial and business issues of a transaction
• Analyze financial and operational results of targets through accounting records and interviews with management
• Identify and analyze potential EBITDA adjustments and prepare normalized EBITDA schedules
• Identify and quantify GAAP issues affecting the valuation of the target
• Prepare and evaluate pro forma financial information
• Analyze carve-out issues, purchase price reductions, deal structuring or termination, and post-acquisition action steps
• Evaluate the effect of seasonality on cash flow requirements and perform industry and company research

Required profile

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of related work experience
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn large, complex datasets into meaningful insights
• Aptitude for fast-paced, deadline-driven work and effective prioritization
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25% on short notice

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Preferred: experience in financial due diligence, public accounting or a large professional services firm
• Preferred: working towards a CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA or CFA designation
• Preferred: experience with Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau
