Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Grand Cayman. The role supports the day‑to‑day HR operations of a leading aviation and culinary services provider operating across the Caribbean and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Administer HR policies, procedures and performance‑management systems.
• Maintain and update the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and physical employee files, ensuring data accuracy.
• Draft, revise and communicate company policies and guidelines.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
• Review payroll hours and submit for approval.
• Assist in handling disciplinary matters at all stages.
• Prepare monthly HR metrics reports.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best‑practice standards.
• Support performance‑management processes.
• Implement and manage employee recognition programmes.
• Liaise with external benefits providers and vendors.
• Oversee daily activities of the administrative staff.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to improve organisational effectiveness.
• Adhere to safety and security procedures of the company, airlines and airport operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Experience in HR administration within a multi‑national or aviation‑related environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS).
• Familiarity with payroll processing.
