Head of Finance (Crypto & DeFi)

About the role

Ether.fiether.fi is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its finance function across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the CFO, you will own month‑end close, audits, budgeting, tax, treasury, payments and payroll while managing a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Run month‑end close for all entities, delivering management accounts within 15 business days and quarterly reporting within 45 days.
• Lead statutory audits and own the annual budget, monthly variance analysis and cash forecasting.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, including crypto wallets, exchange and custody balances.
• Recognise revenue from protocol fees, vault fees, card interchange and treasury income.
• Oversee daily liquidity monitoring across fiat, stablecoins and crypto, and execute weekly portfolio rebalancing.
• Manage intercompany agreements, transfer‑pricing models and multi‑country tax filings (Cayman, Brazil, US, Canada, UAE).
• Run weekly payment runs, vendor payments, payroll, contractor payouts and token vesting.
• Maintain finance systems (QuickBooks, crypto sub‑ledger, AP tool, payroll, cap‑table) and automate manual reconciliations.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) with 8+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Big 4 audit background preferred and at least 4 years in‑house finance in crypto, fintech or asset management.
• Proven experience running a finance function across multiple entities and currencies.
• Hands‑on experience with audits, intercompany agreements and transfer pricing.
• Eligibility to work in the Cayman Islands (relocation support available).
