About the role

This remote project supports TELUS’s machine‑learning research by building a large, diverse facial image dataset. Participants submit current neutral selfies, head‑pose captures, and historical photos to help improve facial‑recognition model accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and upload a minimum of 20 high‑quality images that meet the project’s quality standards.
• Provide current neutral selfies with clear frontal views.
• Submit head‑pose images following the assigned directions to introduce pose variation.
• Upload historical photos from personal galleries to represent aging and long‑term appearance changes.
• Ensure images are free of prohibited content and meet lighting, background, and accessory guidelines.

Required profile

• Access to a smartphone or camera capable of taking clear selfies.
• Ability to follow simple photographic instructions.
• Willingness to share personal images for research purposes.
• Use of a Gmail address for project registration.

• Compensation of $0.55 USD per accepted image.
