Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage supplier accounts, process payments, and support the finance team with reporting and payroll activities. The role involves ensuring accurate invoice verification, maintaining financial records, and assisting with budgeting and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier accounts, including invoice verification, statement reconciliations and payment processing.
• Prepare and process supplier payments, staff reimbursements and other authorised payments.
• Assist with monthly payroll preparation and related reconciliations.
• Prepare regular accounts payable and financial reports for management.
• Support budgeting, month‑end and year‑end reporting, audits and general accounting activities.
• Assist with procurement and purchasing, obtaining quotations and coordinating orders with suppliers.
• Maintain fixed asset and inventory records and support annual reviews.
• Monitor financial controls and identify discrepancies or compliance issues.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
