Account Executive – Assistant Vice President (Cayman)

About the role

The Account Executive, Assistant Vice President will develop and maintain long‑term strategic relationships with a portfolio of captive insurance clients. Based in the Cayman office, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day management, service delivery and expansion of key accounts across property, casualty and long‑term business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact, responding to complex needs and improving client experience.
• Demonstrate understanding of market conditions and ensure compliance with professional and transparency standards.
• Develop and nurture long‑term relationships with a portfolio of captive clients.
• Build strong working relationships with service providers and regulators.
• Oversee the quality of daily services provided to clients.
• Perform technical reviews of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Supervise clients’ financial audit processes with external auditors.
• Ensure clients comply with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and present at client meetings, including Board meetings.
• Partner with Marsh colleagues on licence applications for new insurance companies and strategic captive reviews.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CA, etc.) with public accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with an insurance manager.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present at Board meetings in Cayman and elsewhere.
• Experience with final reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong organisational abilities and willingness to work outside regular office hours.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across functions.
