Senior Associate – Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG Cayman Islands is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Tax Advisory team. The role focuses on U.S. income tax reporting for a diverse client base including insurance, hedge funds, private equity and private clients, while supporting partners and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research on tax regulations, court rulings and FATCA/CRS/CBCR guidance.
• Draft tax memorandums and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Prepare foreign reporting disclosures and forms such as Forms 926, 5471, 8865 and FinCen 114.
• Assist partners with client‑facing projects and ensure compliance with local tax laws.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional services experience or a Law degree (LLM in Taxation advantageous).
• At least 2 years of U.S. tax experience.
• Understanding of FATCA, CRS and CBCR reporting requirements.
• Client‑facing experience with international clients and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and flexibility to work extended hours.
• Willingness to relocate to the Cayman Islands (relocation assistance provided).

Required skills
