Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant will support the Finance Department of a hotel by handling a range of accounting functions within established deadlines. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while delivering accurate financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, record, and process accounts payable and cash disbursements.
• Process accounts receivable and cash receipts, including allocation tables for indirect expenses and revenue items.
• Assist in posting transactions to the general ledger for receivables, payables, cash, and payroll.
• Review open invoice reports and follow up on payments or adjustments.
• Support the Accounting Manager during month‑end close and audit processes.
• Maintain organized records, reports, and files.
• Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 1+ year of hotel accounting experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader MS Office suite.
• Working knowledge of the Opera Cloud accounting system.
• Familiarity with Infogenesis software.
