Senior Associate – Offshore Litigation (Cayman Islands)

About the role

Baker & Partners is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Cayman Islands team. You will work on high‑value litigation matters, ranging from shareholder disputes to cross‑border fraud and asset recovery, while supporting the firm’s growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to major litigation cases originating in the Cayman Islands.
• Conduct legal research and develop Cayman‑specific legal strategies.
• Draft skeleton arguments, pleadings, chronologies, affidavits and client correspondence.
• Appear in court under supervision, enhancing advocacy skills.
• Advise Partners on case strategy and assist with business‑development activities such as article writing and conference participation.

Required profile

• 7+ years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an offshore or international law firm.
• Strong academic record (2:1 degree or equivalent).
• Self‑motivated, team‑oriented and able to work calmly under pressure.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills
