Regulatory Lawyer – Associate (Cayman Islands)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands to recruit an Associate for its Regulatory team. The successful candidate will advise a portfolio of blue‑chip clients on a broad range of financial regulatory and compliance matters, including emerging areas such as crypto and fintech services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide both contentious and non‑contentious advice on regulatory obligations and enforcement actions.
• Research and interpret financial regulations applicable to client operations.
• Develop internal policies and compliance frameworks for clients.
• Advise on regulatory aspects of crypto‑related and fintech services.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving regulatory landscapes.

Required profile

• 5–6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) with a regulatory focus.
• Strong technical competence and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
