Chef / Cook – Grand Cayman

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Chef/Cook to join our busy kitchen team in Grand Cayman. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced café/restaurant environment, delivering consistent, high‑quality dishes across both hot kitchen and breakfast service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items accurately according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain quality and speed during peak periods in both hot kitchen and breakfast service.
• Prep ingredients and ensure stock readiness for daily service.
• Collaborate with the team to develop specials and improve menu items.
• Follow allergy procedures and understand dietary requirements.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and waste reduction.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and compliant with food‑safety, opening and closing protocols.
• Work closely with front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service flow.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years professional experience in a hot kitchen or breakfast environment.
• Previous experience in a commercial restaurant or café kitchen.
• Strong cooking, preparation and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling kitchen duties.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
