Beach Ambassador & Pool Maintenance Associate

About the role

The Beach Ambassador/Pool Maintenance Associate combines guest‑facing service with proactive upkeep of pool and beach areas at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. You will ensure a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment while delivering memorable experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Verify permits, wristbands, or tickets and explain pool and beach rules to guests.
• Monitor safety, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with lifeguards.
• Perform daily maintenance such as raking debris, power‑washing surfaces, and minor repairs to furniture and equipment.
• Restock supplies, clean restrooms and showers, empty trash, and keep equipment storage organized.
• Assist guests with rentals, process payments, and resolve concerns promptly.
• Manage concession sales of snacks, ice‑cream, and beverages while following health standards.
• Support lifeguards, check water levels, skim pools, and report issues.
• Operate mobility equipment (e.g., Segway) safely for patrolling and supply transport.

Required profile

• Physical endurance for extended walking, standing, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 50 lb in an outdoor, year‑round setting.
• Ability to balance and operate Segway or similar equipment safely.
• Comfort working in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, sun).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior hospitality or maintenance experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, friendly demeanor, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if needed).
• Basic tool usage and light repair abilities.
• Segway or mobility equipment operation.
