Associate – Investment Funds (Cayman Islands)

About the role

Walkers is seeking a qualified Associate to join its Investment Funds team in the Cayman Islands. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile, complex legal matters across a broad spectrum of investment fund structures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technically sound, responsive advice to clients on investment fund matters.
• Develop and expand client relationships while delivering high‑quality legal services.
• Advise on hedge funds, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, energy, credit, debt, venture capital, cryptocurrency and blockchain transactions.
• Support corporate transactions such as joint ventures, acquisitions, series financings and reorganisations.
• Collaborate with senior counsel, partners and the global network to leverage firm resources.
• Maintain a record of revenue generation and profitability.

Required profile

• Qualified in the Cayman Islands or another Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in a medium to large law firm.
• Upper Second‑Class (2.1) honours law degree from a Tier 1 university preferred.
• Proven track record managing complex legal transactions and drafting practice notes.
