Apprenticeship – Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

Join Polar Bear Air Conditioning’s apprenticeship program and develop into a qualified air‑conditioning technician. You will receive on‑the‑job training, online courses, and overseas certification while working on the island’s booming cooling market.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with installation of air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on residential and commercial units.
• Support troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment under supervision.
• Participate in regular evaluations, skill assessments, and safety checks.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age with a high‑school diploma.
• Physically capable of performing trade duties.
• Pass an aptitude test, oral interview, and full criminal background check.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Hold a valid passport and be eligible to work in the Cayman Islands.
