Professional Support Lawyer – Corporate & Finance

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a Cayman Islands‑based Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its Corporate and Finance practice. Working within a global PSL team, you will provide high‑quality, non‑client‑facing support that enhances the efficiency and knowledge base of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, draft and maintain legal precedents, practice notes and guides.
• Research, monitor and analyse legal and industry developments, producing concise briefings and alerts.
• Coordinate and deliver training sessions on relevant regulatory matters.
• Assist with client development and marketing initiatives, creating thought‑leadership content such as blogs, presentations and webinars.
• Review and update checklists and standardised documents to ensure consistency for new joiners and transactional lawyers.
• Liaise with lawyers to gather feedback and promote participation in knowledge‑management initiatives.
• Promote knowledge systems and platforms across global teams.
• Participate in project work related to legal innovation and knowledge management.

Required profile

• Minimum six years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a transactional legal environment.
• Experience as a PSL or fee earner with strong drafting and research abilities.
• Collaborative, conscientious and able to work under the supervision of practice group leaders and partners.
