Patient Care Coordinator

About the role

The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients at a growing healthcare practice in Grand Cayman. This part-time, on-site position blends front-desk reception, appointment scheduling, and general administrative support to ensure a warm, professional experience for every visitor.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients, check them in and out with a courteous demeanor.
• Answer incoming calls, take messages, and respond to general enquiries.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule appointments and send reminders or questionnaires.
• Collect payments and co-payments accurately and process them.
• Monitor and reply to email enquiries, scan and upload documents to patient records.
• Keep the clinical team informed of patient arrivals, delays, and schedule changes.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure front-desk coverage throughout the day.
• Provide additional reception coverage during team absences and assist with broader administrative tasks.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and follow practice procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a medical, dental, hospitality, or customer-service environment.
• Proven ability to manage telephone calls, appointments, payments and administrative duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional telephone manner.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask under pressure.
• Dependable, punctual and capable of working independently.
• Proactive, receptive to feedback and comfortable collaborating in a small team.
• Professional references confirming reliability and experience.

Required skills

• Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
