Maintenance Technician – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will independently manage HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry operations at a luxury resort. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will respond quickly to service requests and ensure all systems run safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and wall‑vinyl repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning and adjustments to keep equipment operating smoothly.
• Inspect and service critical building systems, including HVAC units, boilers, chillers and electrical panels.
• Implement upgrades to improve system efficiency and performance.
• Assist with installation of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain detailed logbooks of work performed, parts used and parts needed.
• Communicate status of maintenance projects to management and perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a luxury hotel environment.
• Relevant diploma or certificate confirming technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Physical capability to lift, carry or move objects up to 100 lb occasionally and 50 lb frequently.
• Fluency in English (read, write, speak) and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
