Full-Time Baker – Fast-Paced Bakery Team

About the role

Kirk Market is seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join our fast‑paced, highly skilled bakery team. The role involves preparing a wide range of pastries and breads, handling orders, and ensuring a clean, well‑stocked work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a large variety of pastries, breads and related products.
• Assist in ordering and inventory control of ingredients and supplies.
• Receive and prepare customer orders, then bag and package products.
• Clean and restock workstations, sanitising equipment for the next shift.
• Maintain high standards of customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work night shifts and flexible hours as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years’ experience in a baking and retail environment.
• Baking certification desirable (not required).
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently.
• Capable of working in hot conditions, standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
