Facilities Coordinator

About the role

The Facilities Coordinator will support the day‑to‑day coordination of building systems, maintenance activities, contractors, purchasing, and engineering‑related projects. The successful candidate will act as a key link between internal teams, maintenance personnel, external contractors, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure work orders are appropriately assigned, tracked, and completed.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers regarding building maintenance, repairs, and technical issues.
• Monitor outstanding maintenance activities and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with the coordination of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes and ensure scheduled servicing is completed within required timeframes.
• Monitor utility consumption and help identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Coordinate access and scheduling for contractors working on‑site.

Required profile

• A diploma, degree, or technical qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in an engineering, facilities, maintenance, property, or building services environment.
• Practical understanding of building systems, particularly HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing services.
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, technicians, or external service providers.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and work‑order management.
