Experienced Cook – Caribbean, Continental & Asian Cuisine

About the role

Kirk Market is seeking an experienced Cook with strong knowledge of food production. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Caribbean, Continental and Asian cuisines and able to maintain high standards of sanitation and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, cut, prepare and cook a variety of local and international foods.
• Clean, stock and restock workstations and display cases.
• Maintain regular sanitation and cleaning programs.
• Assist in ordering and inventory control of ingredients and supplies.
• Receive and prepare orders while ensuring health and safety standards.
• Recommend new, modern recipes.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Cook in a high‑volume supermarket or restaurant.
• Knowledge of preparing and cooking Continental, Caribbean and Asian dishes.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, safety and sanitation regulations, and food production.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Physical ability to work in hot and cold environments and lift items up to 50 lbs.
