Bakery Manager

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Bakery Manager to lead the scratch‑bakery operation of a well‑established grocery retailer in the Cayman Islands. This senior leadership position will oversee day‑to‑day production, maintain the highest quality standards, and expand the bakery footprint as new stores open.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily bakery operations, ensuring product quality and consistency.
• Develop and execute a broad range of from‑scratch baked goods, including artisan breads, pastries, viennoiserie, and specialty items.
• Oversee recipe development, menu planning, and seasonal product offerings.
• Recruit, train, and develop the bakery team, fostering a culture of craftsmanship.
• Manage production schedules, inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and keep bakery budgets aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years experience as head of a scratch bakery, with a proven track record of high‑quality operations.
• Minimum 5 years management experience in a retail bakery environment, overseeing multiple locations.
• Master Baker designation preferred.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Fluency in English.
