Restaurant Host – Guest Services & Seating

About the role

The Host is the first point of contact for guests, providing friendly information, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating. This role supports the restaurant’s service flow and creates memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests, offering local area information when requested.
• Manage fair and consistent seating, using the reservation and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Accurately record reservations by phone or in person.
• Maintain a tidy host stand, handle paperwork, and keep the floor and tables clean.
• Assist with bussing tables, refilling beverages, and packaging carry‑out orders.
• Provide guests with menu, product and allergy information as needed.
• Perform additional restaurant and customer‑service tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous customer‑service or hospitality experience (preferred).
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible schedule – evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).

Required skills

• Food Handler Certification
• Knowledge of restaurant point‑of‑sale (POS) system
• Familiarity with reservation management software
