Pool & Beach Attendant

About the role

The Pool & Beach Attendant creates a welcoming atmosphere in the hotel’s pool and beach areas, ensures safety, cleanliness and guest comfort, and supports the overall hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service to guests using the pool and beach facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, chairs, towels and bar area.
• Inspect and replace missing or damaged items, perform minor repairs on pool equipment when possible.
• Patrol the water, enforce safety regulations and assist swimmers in distress.
• Provide guests with information about pool dimensions, lap counts, facilities and emergency procedures.
• Report hazards, injuries or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate departments.
• Support the programming of sensory elements (sight, sound, smell, touch, taste) to enhance the guest experience.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle guest requests and complaints promptly.
• Knowledge of pool safety standards, depth measurements and emergency rescue procedures.
• Willingness to take ownership of guest satisfaction and follow‑up on issues.
• Ability to work outdoors, stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as moving furniture and cleaning.
• Good communication skills and familiarity with hotel facilities and services.

Required skills

• First aid/CPR certification.
• Basic maintenance knowledge of swimming‑pool equipment.
• Understanding of safety hazards and appropriate precautionary measures.
