Funds Lawyer – Experienced Associate in Cayman Islands

About the role

The investment funds sector is at the heart of the Cayman Islands’ success as a leading financial centre. As a Funds Lawyer you will join a major offshore law firm and work on high‑quality, international fund matters, from formation through to wind‑down.

Key responsibilities

• Advise open‑ended and closed‑ended funds on the full life‑cycle, including formation, financing, regulatory compliance, operation, restructuring and wind‑down.
• Deliver cutting‑edge international work comparable to top City or international firms.
• Collaborate with a fast‑paced, complex team while maintaining high professional standards.

Required profile

• Admission to practice in Cayman, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or Hong Kong.
• Up to 8–9 years post‑qualification experience (PQE); non‑Caymanians need a minimum of 5 years PQE for work‑permit reasons.
• Strong background from a top‑tier onshore or offshore firm, ideally with extensive funds work; corporate lawyers with a genuine desire to move into funds are also encouraged.
