Cafeteria Attendant

About the role

The Cafeteria Attendant supports daily cafeteria operations by keeping food service areas clean, organized, and well‑stocked while delivering courteous service to staff and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages, set up water/coffee and condiment stations.
• Clear and wipe tables with sanitizer, clean and arrange dishes in the dish pit.
• Transport hot and cold meals at proper temperatures to buffet lines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, workstations, and common areas through sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Restock supplies, set tables with linens and condiments according to standards.
• Assist with general cafeteria operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry 25+ lb regularly.
• At least 1 year of experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
• Basic training in food preparation and service.
• Flexible schedule – evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Team‑player attitude and ability to handle difficult customers.

Required skills

• Safe food handling and preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
