Senior Associate – Litigation & Dispute Resolution

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our offshore litigation practice in the Cayman Islands. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile disputes across insolvency, shareholder, fraud, crypto and commercial matters, supported by a strong team of partners and senior lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Cayman‑specific legal strategies and coordinate with on‑shore counsel for cross‑border matters.
• Conduct detailed legal research and draft skeleton arguments, pleadings, affidavits, chronologies and client correspondence.
• Appear in Cayman courts, gaining advocacy experience under the guidance of senior partners.
• Advise partners on case strategy, manage assigned matters and take ownership of case progress.
• Evaluate client requests for advice and collaborate with partners to determine appropriate responses.
• Contribute to business development through article writing, conference participation and social media activity.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an offshore or international law firm.
• Strong academic record (2:1 degree or equivalent preferred).
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a commitment to the firm’s success.
