Bakery Manager

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Bakery Manager to lead the scratch‑bakery operation of a well‑established grocery retailer in the Cayman Islands. This senior leadership position will oversee multiple locations as the business expands, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality artisan products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day bakery operations, maintaining product quality and consistency.
• Develop and execute a diverse range of from‑scratch baked goods, including artisan breads, pastries, viennoiserie, and specialty items.
• Oversee recipe development, menu planning, and seasonal product offerings.
• Recruit, train, and develop bakery staff, fostering a culture of craftsmanship.
• Manage production schedules, inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Control food costs, minimize waste, and adhere to budgetary targets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years leading a scratch bakery, preferably with a Master Baker designation.
• Minimum 5 years of retail bakery management experience, overseeing multiple sites.
• Proven ability to scale bakery operations while maintaining quality.
• Strong leadership, team‑development, and cost‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of HACCP principles.
