Tax Information Reporting Manager (FATCA/CRS)

About the role

Join EY's Financial Services Office to lead client engagements focused on FATCA, CRS, and other information reporting requirements. As a Manager, you will oversee high‑quality delivery, manage teams across jurisdictions, and develop practical compliance solutions for financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AEOI engagements, including advisory, compliance, reporting, and transformation projects for financial institution clients.
• Interpret and apply FATCA, CRS, Form 1042, 1042‑S, and 1099 reporting requirements, providing technical guidance to teams and clients.
• Oversee preparation and review of client deliverables, technical memoranda, and supporting documentation.
• Manage engagement scope, workplans, budgets, timelines, and communicate progress and risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation, controls, and data workflows for efficient AEOI compliance.
• Monitor policy and legislative developments affecting AEOI and IRS reporting.
• Advise clients on tax authority enquiries, inspections, and controversy matters.
• Develop and coach team members across jurisdictions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development pursuits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tax information reporting, withholding, or regulatory compliance with substantial exposure to FATCA, CRS, 1099, and/or 1042 reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain complex technical matters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements, lead teams, and coach junior members.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of FATCA, CRS, and IRS withholding/reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with Forms W‑9, W‑8 series, Form 1042, 1042‑S, and 1099.
• Experience with Economic Substance regulations (a plus).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and overall Office suite proficiency.
