Senior Vice President - Captive/Reinsurance

Join the senior leadership team of a leading captive insurance organisation and help shape its strategic direction, operational success and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of captive insurance management services across a portfolio of sophisticated captive and reinsurance entities.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for key clients, providing strategic guidance on governance, regulatory, operational and business matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, brokers, auditors, legal counsel and other industry stakeholders.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, board meetings, regulatory filings and other critical client deliverables.
• Lead, mentor and develop client service professionals while fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive business development initiatives, identify growth opportunities and contribute to revenue generation.
• Support operational excellence and implement process improvements to enhance client service and efficiency.
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to overall leadership and management of the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional designation such as ACII, CPCU, CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years' experience within captive insurance, insurance management, reinsurance or broader financial services, including significant leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of captive insurance structures, regulatory requirements, corporate governance and insurance operations.
• Proven people leadership experience with the ability to develop teams and manage multiple client relationships.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client retention and stakeholder management.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience engaging boards, regulators and senior executives.
