Senior Valuation Analyst - VME, Cayman Islands

About the role

EY is looking for a senior to join its Valuation, Modeling and Economics (VME) team in the Cayman Islands. The firm's Strategy and Transactions Practice helps clients choose the right deal and execute it well, and offers a broad scope of engagements, mentoring and formal learning. The role involves travel as necessary and willingness to assist on other projects within Strategy and Transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and assist with valuation and financial analyses, applying valuation theories and approaches
• Gather and analyse information, and help formulate valuation approaches
• Develop valuation and other business models
• Assist in preparing valuation reports for financial reporting, transactions, tax and litigation
• Work in project teams of varying size and skill level, and adapt to changing requirements or deadlines

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
• At least 2 years of valuation experience in professional services or a Big 4 firm
• Commitment to pursuing a relevant business valuation professional designation
• Ideally: previous valuation experience in a Big 4 firm, financial modelling experience, and progress towards a designation such as CFA, CBV, ASA/AM

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
• MS Office proficiency, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Research, problem solving, report writing and client communication
