Oncology Registered Nurse

About the role

Doctors Hospital seeks an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. The RN will deliver high‑quality, compassionate care to cancer patients across the treatment pathway, coordinating with oncologists and supporting patients and families throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate oncology patient care with the oncology team, including oncologists and consultants.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other oncology treatments safely.
• Monitor and manage treatment‑related side effects, pain, and cancer‑related symptoms.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, side‑effects and survivorship.
• Deliver direct nursing care, including admissions, transfers, discharges, medication administration and emergency response.
• Document clinical observations, communicate changes to the care team and ensure privacy compliance.
• Act as preceptor for new staff and students, contributing to training and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of medical/surgical/critical care experience, with at least 2 years in oncology.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Diploma in Nursing; post‑basic BScN preferred.
• Completed accredited Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Administration course.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or to be obtained within one year.
• Knowledge of supportive care principles for oncology patients.
