Beach Ambassador

About the role

Join the team at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa as a Beach Ambassador, providing front‑line guest service while ensuring the safety, cleanliness and overall appearance of the beach and pool areas.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, verify permits, explain beach and pool rules, and address inquiries with a friendly demeanor.
• Monitor beach, pool and oceanfront areas for safety, respond to incidents, coordinate with lifeguards and enforce safety protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance such as raking debris, power washing, minor repairs to furniture and equipment, and keep pathways and fixtures in excellent condition.
• Maintain cleanliness by restocking towels and supplies, cleaning restrooms/showers, emptying trash and organizing equipment.
• Assist with rentals of chairs, umbrellas and floats, process payments and manage snack and beverage sales following health standards.
• Support lifeguards with swimmer safety, basic pool maintenance and operate mobility equipment for patrolling.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1‑2 years of customer service or hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, friendly and professional attitude, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old and proficient in English.

Required skills

• Valid CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided).
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols, emergency response and preventive maintenance.
• Experience using basic tools for light repairs and equipment upkeep.
