Trust Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced trust professional to lead and oversee a high‑performing trust team within a well‑established fiduciary services environment. The role combines senior client relationship management, technical oversight, team leadership, commercial responsibility and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day‑to‑day oversight of the trust team, ensuring high standards of client service.
• Take responsibility for the financial performance of the team’s portfolio, including billing, fee collection and revenue targets.
• Ensure corporate governance and compliance across all client structures, meeting legal, regulatory, tax and statutory requirements.
• Oversee administration and ongoing management of complex trust and corporate structures.
• Manage new business enquiries, assess opportunities and prepare accurate fee proposals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, professional advisers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand the client base.
• Lead, mentor and develop team members through coaching, training and performance management.
• Collaborate with international colleagues on cross‑border client structures, regulatory matters and operational projects.
• Oversee resource allocation and workflow management to maintain service levels.
• Support senior management with strategic projects, reporting and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a commercial or private client trust environment.
• Proven experience managing relationships with clients, intermediaries, advisers and regulators.
• Recognised STEP qualification.
• Degree in Law or related discipline (advantageous).
• Strong technical knowledge of private and commercial trust structures and corporate administration.
• Comprehensive understanding of Cayman Islands trust, corporate, regulatory and fiduciary requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a professional services team.
• Commercial awareness with experience in billing, cash collection and portfolio performance.
