Senior Trust Officer

About the role

The Senior Trust Officer / Assistant Manager will oversee a portfolio of trusts, private trust companies and related structures, ensuring high‑quality client service and full compliance with Cayman regulatory and internal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee trusts, private trust companies, underlying entities and related private client structures with effective Cayman‑based oversight.
• Coordinate establishment, ongoing administration, restructuring and termination of trust and fiduciary structures.
• Act as primary contact for clients, beneficiaries, intermediaries and professional advisers, delivering timely execution of deliverables.
• Serve as Authorized Signatory for TMF Cayman affiliates within approved authority levels.
• Oversee trust assets, transactions, governance records and trustee decisions, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Lead client compliance onboarding in line with Cayman regulations and monitor periodic reviews, regulatory filings and operational deliverables.
• Manage finance matters including budgeting, invoicing, new business set‑up and ad‑hoc finance projects.
• Provide oversight of internal and group support teams to maintain quality and operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; STEP qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in trust administration, fiduciary services or private wealth, preferably in Cayman.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, advisers, regulators and senior management.
• High attention to detail, sound fiduciary judgement and ability to identify authority issues, missing approvals and operational risks.
• Commercial awareness and ability to balance client service, risk management, compliance and operational efficiency.
