Relationship Manager - Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Business Banking will drive sales, acquire new corporate clients and deepen existing relationships within the Commercial Banking segment. You will combine financial analysis, credit expertise and consultative selling to deliver tailored solutions that meet each client’s unique needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, acquire, manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Provide high‑quality financial and business advice tailored to client requirements.
• Collaborate with internal partners to design and execute client contact strategies, using virtual and digital channels.
• Identify referral opportunities across One RBC and coordinate introductions to appropriate specialists.
• Review financial statements, monitor risk trends and structure suitable credit solutions.
• Champion digital enablement by promoting and demonstrating RBC’s digital and multi‑channel banking tools.

Required profile

• University degree in commerce, finance, business administration or related field (CFI or CBCA equivalent preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in commercial, business or corporate banking.
• Proven ability to originate sales and manage client relationships.
• Strong credit assessment, risk analysis and credit structuring skills.
• Demonstrated new‑client acquisition capabilities, including cold calling and lead generation.
• Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital banking platforms and mobile applications.
• Experience using web‑based meeting tools and social‑media communication channels.
