Dispute Resolution Counsel – Cayman Islands

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a senior Dispute Resolution Counsel to join its Cayman Islands office. You will work within a leading Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team that handles complex cross‑border litigation and restructuring matters for multinational corporations, investment funds and financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercially‑focused advice and draft high‑quality pleadings in international commercial litigation and contentious insolvency cases.
• Lead and supervise junior associates, sharing knowledge and ensuring consistent delivery of client service.
• Collaborate with partners and other fee‑earners to develop dispute avoidance strategies and risk‑mitigation solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience in complex international commercial litigation, cross‑border insolvency or restructuring.
• Proven track record of managing a wide range of matters for domestic and international clients.
• Outstanding drafting and technical abilities, strong academic background, and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team, lead junior staff, and maintain high attention to detail and organisational skills.
