Collateral Oversight Officer

About the role

In this position you will own the follow‑up and remediation of all collateral files, contacting attorneys, government agencies and other stakeholders to obtain missing documents. The role focuses on ensuring accountability for mortgage bills of sale, original mortgage documents, certificates, bond guarantees and other collateral, while delivering an enhanced client experience and meeting service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consistent service within established benchmarks and meet SLA targets.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of credit policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Apply sound credit judgment, recommend exceptions within delegated authority and refer when necessary.
• Identify recurring errors, propose process improvements and act as a subject‑matter expert for sales and service teams.
• Take ownership of moderately complex issues, resolve them at first contact and address client concerns with a long‑term perspective.
• Spot operational inefficiencies, recommend value‑added enhancements and support revenue‑growth initiatives.
• Exercise due diligence in verification of documentation and adhere to global risk‑management and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bank’s minimum entry requirements – 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English with grades 1‑3.
• Knowledge of RBC personal banking services and operations.
• Strong client‑first orientation, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good knowledge of the bank’s core applications.
• Diploma in Management or related field (nice‑to‑have).
