Audit Senior – Insurance & Corporate

About the role

Join Grant Thornton’s fast‑growing audit practice in the Cayman Islands, providing high‑quality audit services to leading insurance and corporate clients. You will work closely with partners, directors and senior managers, gaining international experience in a dynamic financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of insurance and commercial clients from audit planning through completion, ensuring timely submission for manager review.
• Allocate audit tasks to junior and staff auditors and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform effective risk and control assessments, including complex accounting technical matters.
• Present audit findings and recommend improvements to increase compliance and efficiency.
• Stay current on market and industry trends, sharing knowledge and providing on‑the‑job training to junior colleagues.
• Understand client ambitions and continuously improve service delivery and business relationships.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA, ACA, ACCA or CPA with at least 2 years of relevant audit experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Previous audit experience (2+ years) in a medium to large public accounting or professional services firm; Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Experience auditing financial services entities; insurance audit experience highly desirable.
• Knowledge of NAIC standards and STAT accounting is highly desirable.
