About the role
The Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce is seeking an experienced policy professional with strong insurance and reinsurance expertise to join its Policy Team. You will play a central role in shaping, implementing and monitoring complex insurance policy and legislation, including supporting the Cayman Islands’ application for recognition as a Qualified Jurisdiction.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality research, analysis and strategic advice on insurance policy matters.
- Coordinate with regulators, industry participants and other stakeholders to ensure effective policy implementation.
- Support the Ministry’s participation in relevant international engagements.
- Assist the Cayman Islands’ application for recognition as a Qualified Jurisdiction by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of insurance legislation and propose necessary adjustments.
