Primary Teacher (KG–Grade 6)

About the role

The Primary Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction for learners from kindergarten through Grade 6. The role emphasizes creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom that builds foundational literacy, numeracy and inquiry skills while supporting social and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, age‑appropriate lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including students with additional or complex needs.
• Support students’ social, emotional and behavioural development and maintain a nurturing classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, SENCo and support staff to ensure effective provision for all learners.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment and student progress.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status and a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Strong background in special education with experience supporting a wide range of learning needs.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
