Director Private Banking

About the role

The Director Private Banking role leads RBC’s Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth (UHNW) business across the Caribbean, acting as the trusted advisor for a select portfolio of individuals and families. You will shape client experience, drive new‑client acquisition and mentor a high‑performing relationship team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experience and strategic relationship management for UHNW households, coordinating advice across RBC’s businesses and external partners.
• Lead the client relationship team, ensuring clear role definition, day‑to‑day banking service delivery and credit expertise.
• Drive new client acquisition by building a strong local network and deepening existing relationships.
• Maintain portfolio quality and compliance in collaboration with senior credit managers.
• Coach and develop Private Bankers, fostering best practices in wealth management across the region.

Required profile

• MBA, CFA or equivalent postgraduate professional designation.
• 7‑10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in senior sales leadership serving VHNW/UHNW clients.
• Strong communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Growth mindset, emotional intelligence and sound judgment.
