Trust Officer – Fiduciary Services

About the role

The leading international fiduciary services provider is seeking an experienced Trust Officer to join its Cayman Islands team. You will own a sophisticated portfolio of trusts, foundations, companies and other wealth‑planning structures, working closely with a Fiduciary Services Manager and a range of professional advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day administration of a portfolio of trust and corporate structures.
• Establish new trust mandates and support transition of existing appointments.
• Maintain trust files, statutory records, banking arrangements and custody records.
• Coordinate client transactions, including distributions, bank payments and asset transfers.
• Prepare trustee and corporate documentation such as minutes, resolutions and governance documents.
• Liaise with clients, legal advisers, banks, investment managers, auditors and other professionals.
• Ensure transactions are reviewed and authorised according to internal policies and delegated authorities.
• Monitor statutory, regulatory and reporting deadlines and ensure compliance with AML/CFT, FATCA, CRS, economic substance and related requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits and respond to auditor queries.
• Review financial statements and collaborate with accounting teams as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and contribute to procedure development and training initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in financial services, preferably trust and fiduciary administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as STEP, CPA, CA or ACCA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trust and corporate administration, fiduciary responsibilities and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound judgement.
