Pastry Chef – Creative Bakery Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our bakery team in George Town. The role involves creating a variety of pastries, desserts and custom cakes while collaborating with the head baker to develop new menu items.

Key responsibilities

• Create and prepare all pastry items required by the business.
• Develop new dessert recipes and plan the dessert menu to complement savory items.
• Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, including fondant, 3D and wedding cakes.
• Prepare, clean and organize ingredients, and ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized.
• Bake cakes and assemble them with appropriate icings, frostings and fillings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a pastry chef in a high‑quality, fast‑paced kitchen.
• Culinary arts or pastry‑making certificate.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to provide a portfolio of creative pastry work.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and punctuality.

Required skills

• Cake decoration (fondant, 3D, wedding cakes).
• Pastry and baking techniques.
• Recipe development and ingredient knowledge.
