Insurance Executive

About the role

The Insurance Executive is responsible for handling technical insurance and reinsurance matters for a portfolio of clients, including captive insurance and re/insurance entities. The role provides consulting, advisory and managerial support, ensuring high‑quality service and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the (re)insurance renewal process and issue contracts, policy wordings, and endorsements.
• Lead strategic input into program structure, design, and analysis.
• Oversee claims processing and resolution, including reviews.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and act as client executive for nominated clients.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, service providers and internal teams.
• Partner with accounting colleagues and monitor market developments.
• Interact with regulators, negotiate fees and management agreements, and support client business changes.

Required profile

• Internationally recognized insurance or risk management qualification (e.g., A.C.I.I. or CPCU).
• Minimum 7 years of (re)insurance experience, preferably including captive management.
• At least 7 years of recent experience building customer relationships in insurance management or client services.
• Working knowledge of investment and insurance accounting.
• Strong knowledge of captive and (re)insurance policy and agreement structures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage workload, work under pressure, multitask and present overseas.

Preferred qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience in an insurance regulatory environment preferred.
